The Red Lion Hotel is situated on the impressive sea front of Cromer, which was created by the Victorians, when they discovered the beauty of the North Norfolk coast. It's history is one of lifeboat gallantry and fishing. The town is well known for its crab fishing and you can still watch the fishermen bring their catches ashore.

 The town has two museums;
 The Cromer museum, displaying local history, geology and archeology, is housed in a row of fishermen's cottages adjacent to the church.
  The Lifeboat museum can be found inside the old lifeboat house at the foot of The Gangway, and the present lifeboat can be visited and is launched from the new Cromer Lifeboat Station at the end of pier.
 The Royal Cromer Golf Club, set high on the cliffs above the town, has an eighteen hole course with panoramic sea views.

 In August, when the carnival comes to town, Cromer is at its busiest. The carnival provides a week packed full of fun.

 Whether you are interested in the history of this splendid seaside town, or enjoy exploring, shopping, or just relaxing, Cromer has something to offer everyone throughout the year, and the Red Lion Hotel is ideally situated for your choice of venue.
